We were able to go to Central Church to be part of
Nicci’s commissioning ceremony before she went back to Ethiopia. God is doing awesome things in this girl’s life plans! So excited for her and where He is taking her and how He is stretching her.
On the adoption front, we have been working fast and furiously on our paperwork. Everything is ready to be turned in except for Luke’s autobiography. He keeps saying he is studying for this little test called the BAR!!, but we hope we are able to turn it in before we leave for our cruise! I saw this on this wonderful blog,
www.pitterpatterart.com, and I stole it!The have adopted one son from Ethiopia and are in the process of adopting their second. She made a sign and had it with her all the time and took pictures. I thought it was such a good idea and will be so fun to show our newest family member one day!
Here are Luke and I after getting some paperwork notarized:
And here are me and the babes getting my fingerprints done (Kate is super thrilled):
Playing with the iphone:
We have enjoyed going out on the boat twice this summer! Nothing better than boat napping:
My two babysons napping:
Blake was so gentle when getting Jake off the tube. I have worked on a strategy with Jake so hopefully he will reign next time!
Even K & P enjoyed some tube time. The first time I tried to get Kate to go with me and her and Pres were standing there together. She was very unsure and kept saying NO! Preston was standing there like, “Please ask me! Please ask me!” I finally turned to him and told him he was too little and he started crying! I put him on there with me and he giggled the entire time! No fear!
Pretty girl!
We have planted several different veggies and Kate grew these squash/gourds all by herself!
Harvesting a tomato:
Taste test:
She loves eating them right off the vine!
Enjoying Blakey before he moved away!
What is that stuff falling from the sky? So thankful for some rain this week!
With Luke’s school schedule and my work schedule, we werent able to go to our small group in almost a year! We have missed our friends so much and had a wonderful time catching up! It was funny to think of us just a few short years ago with no babies! I told Luke when everyone had left that the good thing about having kids is everyone is gone by 10!
Preston and Easton (with his surprised face!)
Nothing cuter than matching jammies!
These boys are gonna be trouble! Paxton, Easton, Preston
Blake moved to Ohio one week ago and we miss him so much! He has started a blog,
http://www.therollinblog.blogspot.com/, and he is definitely the writer of the family, so check him out! We met for breakfast before sending him out on his own, and I may or may not have reenacted the scene from Harry and the Hendersons where they have to send him back into the woods.
Cuddling my babies-thankful for some rain!
Silly girl would not stand for a picture!
Preston is in a dinosaur phase and so KK, Jake, and I braved the heat last Sunday for a peak at the dino exhibit before they became extinct.
He was a little unsure but Kate was brave!
Tight grip on Uncle Jakey!
Love these two so much!!
Because it’s summer and the memories are just waiting to happen. Anonymous
