Baby Blessing

Last Sunday at church, we had a special service to dedicate the new baby's. We were making a promise as parents and a church family to raise all of these sweet babies to know Jesus by showing them his love! What an overwhelming job, but what a blessing that God has given us these precious children! I still cannot believe he has trusted me with such a sweet life! We are so fortunate to have such a huge, supportive family that is able to come to important events like this. We had 39 people over to our house for lunch after church! Our little house was busting at the seams, and it was so nice to have so many that love Kate in one place! The immediate family at the reception before church (Uncle Michael, Aunt Dee, Nina, Larry, Mama, Dad, Me, Blake, Luke and Kate, Jake, Uncle Johnny, Aunt Jan, Benny, and Amy) All of Kate's girlfriends! Kate, Isabel, Natalie, and Joy! All of us She was so funny after they handed us her Bible, she patted each page and was kicking her legs like crazy! She loved it! Nana, Aunt Megan, and Uncle Blake We had a lamb theme going on...it has always been a family saying that Mom calls us Precious Lambs of God. She used to bring that up when we were riding with one of our friends that had just gotten their license, or going on a date with someone she had just met. "Take care of my Precious Lamb of God!" Supper Club in Oxford

My mom and I are in a Supper Club that consists of members of my 10th grade pom squad and our mamas. We have met once a month since May of 1999...wow, 10 years!! Every July, Supper Club is held at the Cole's beautiful home in Oxford. We enjoy yummy food at new restaurants, shopping on the square, and great company. Many years we have spent up late at night singing karaoke, or downtown listening to bands of people we know at home. This year we had a smaller group (The Cole's, the Neergaard's, my mom, me and kate), but the food was just as good as always, and the company was fabulous! We ate at Ajax and City Grocery...both were delicious! The Neergaard's had to head home early, but that didn't stop the rest of the group from sneaking out to a 9:45 movie. Yes, I was that unfit mother with her baby in the movie theatre at 9:45 pm. She slept through the entire thing, and then slept till noon the next day! I, of course, jumped out of bed at nine to get my shower, just knowing she would wake up at any minute. So much for sleeping in! I can't believe the only pictures I have from the weekend are of Kate, so here they are! Oh,did I mention that everyone in the Cole family is HUGE Rebel fans? I couldn't resist packing out Bulldog PJs from Uncle Blake!
