Baby and SNOW!!
My sweet friends threw Kate a shower on January 17. We had a luncheon at The Silver Caboose (my fav restaurant in Collierville), and had an absolutely wonderful time! The decorations were precious, the menu was yummy, and everything we received was fabulous!!
The hostesses: April, Lindsey, Heather, Me, Laurette, Mims, & Megan The Aunts and Grandmothers
When I got home from the shower, my dad and Luke had been painting all morning! Luke did a wonderful job picking out her paint colors (she will definitely never be gloomy), and matching them to her bedding! Three walls are green, and one is blue. Her bathroom will be the same color blue. He also picked out fabric for and recovered a rocking chair that was my mom's when she was a little girl. It is precious! You can also see the finished dresser and dressing table. There is a mirror that will go above the dressing table.
Last Friday, the Behel/Tucker/Cosby family came in town to shower Kate with gifts. I told my mom I needed a larger vocabulary because everything I opened I said, "It is so cute/precious/adorable!" I need some new words, but everything was cute/precious/adorable!
Mama, Hayden, Patsy, Me, Vicky, Sherrie, and Ashley
A bonnet for the summer (made by Ashley's grandmother!)!
Sherrie got a monogramming machine...everyone will know our precious' name!
Bandit couldn't figure out why nothing was monogrammed with his name on it. Get used to it, Buddy!
The next morning, Mom, Nana, and I loaded up and headed to Tupelo for a shower at Luke's aunt's house. As always, the food was fabulous! We had a recipe swap after the shower :)
The hostesses: Aunt Lisa, Callie (with Baby Boy # 2!), Jennifer, Aunt Hilda, and Me!
KK, Me, and Grammy
Handmade gown from Aunt Hilda...it has tiny bluebirds on it!
Nursery monitor from Aunt Katie (Luke researched it, and it is The Best :)
Christmas goodies!! A stocking that I am sure will be overflowing at KK's next year! (Sorry, Luke, I don't think you are going to be the favorite this year!)
And, of course, we couldn't leave without leaving our mark! Oops, sorry Uncle Mike!
I felt so bad...I grew up with a yard that people were always getting stuck in, and it is a pain to mow the grass with huge ruts!
As you can tell, we are getting so ready for this little girl to arrive! Seven weeks and counting!
