The rest of March

Kate turned two on a Sunday, which meant she got to move up from the nursery to Children’s Church! She was just as excited about that as the fact it was her birthday! Here are her and Pres in front of her nursery room the last Sunday she was there.

While we were in Florida, Luke put up a backsplash in our kitchen…it looks awesome, but I am not sure who watched the kids while this was completed!

Cousin Audrie came to visit during Spring Break. We had a wonderful day at the zoo!

And loved playing outside!

One day while I was sleeping, Luke let the kids play in the sprinkler. He told me he got some cute pics (which he did!) but I laughed looking through them because I assumed the kids would be in their swimsuits! Another reason why Daddy is more fun! A leprechaun came to visit on St Patty’s Day!

We love receiving birthday mail..especially hand made dresses from Aunt Jan!

And the morning of her birthday!

When I asked her what she wanted for breakfast, she requested bacon and eggs from Layla’s chickens…and that’s what we had!

Her lunch request was El Porton and a gumball at the end! She cracked me up when they sang to her…no free smiles here, senors!

We stopped on the way home to take some pictures in front of these gorgeous cherry trees. I remember when we left the hospital after she was born, & they had bloomed almost overnight then, too!

We had a birthday dinner for Grammy on the Friday night before Kate’s party. Kate and Preston painted her a birdhouse and Luke attached a wind chime to the bottom.

After Kate’s party, the family stayed over at my parents’ for a cookout for my Mom’s bday.

The newest member of the family! Aunt Tracy gifted Kate as many wands as any good fairy will ever need!

So exciting…more birthday mail from Aunt Hilda!!

And her three year old check up! She weighed 33 lbs and was 3 feet 3 inches tall on her 3rd birthday! Anyone that knows me knows I love things that are divisible by 3. She couldnt have done better!

Eden and I braved the zoo one day last week with five kids 3 and under. They were all so good, & the kids had a wonderful time!! I am so thankful for our zoo, & friends like Eden who are braver than I am!

Mama's Birthday

At the beginning of the month, my mom, sister, and I left town for a weekend in Seaside! My mom has always wanted to run the Seaside 5K that benefits the school there, and she turned 50 this month, so Megan and I decided now was the time. Mom and I trained to run, and we did it!! Megan "wogged" the entire thing, and we all got a Vera Bradley bag at the finish line!!We had an absolutely perfect vacation full of seafood, rest, and running!
I had to leave these three cute faces for the first time since the wreck…hard to do, but very much needed!!Luke was amazing! He not only kept my babies in one piece for the weekend, the house was clean and they were all happy!Here were the snacks I made for our trip:

We brought along this sign and changed its’ wording daily! I didnt get a pic of the first one about Kath’s Big 5-0! We had a one room condo above Miss Lucille’s Gossip Parlor. It was an adorable part of the beach we had never stayed at before.
 
Did I mention we ate well on this trip? Before dinner at the Red Bar.
We got up on Saturday morning, and it was pouring! All. Day. Long. We enjoyed breakfast and coffee at a cute little coffee shop. 
That night we had dinner at Bud and Ally’s. delish. This is us post race. With out new Vera bags (which is a whole story in itself of how we ended up with the one we wanted, all three with the same pattern with all the workers shouting, “No trades!” Let’s just say we made a total of 4 trades between us to get what we wanted!)

My mom is the most self-less, cheerful, life-loving people I know! She never meets a stranger, opens her home to everyone all of the time, has raised 4 awesome kids :), and does all of this on very little sleep. My friends in high school always asked when she slept...haha! We cant go out in public without a flood of little people flocking to her. I love her so very much and hope that one day I can be just like her!
